RAM stands for, Random Access Memory and it is a type of computer data storage. You might also hear people refer to it simply as, memory, even though there are many other kinds of memory that might exist inside of a computer. RAM is available in the form of integrated circuits which allow stored data to be accessed in any particular order, or at random. More RAM means that you computer will be more capable of handling various processes and will work more quickly, smoothly and efficiently. NOTE: ECC registered RAM is priced in increments of $20/1GB of RAM and non-ECC registered RAM is priced in increments of $15/1GB of RAM.
